Privacy notice
What we do with your details.
This covers the early-access form on this website. It is short because we collect little, and because there is nothing here we would not want to explain in a sentence.
The short version
- No cookies. This site sets none, of any kind, including analytics.
- No tracking. No analytics, no pixels, no advertising tags, no third-party scripts. Every file the page loads comes from this domain.
- Nothing is collected until you submit the form. Reading the page leaves nothing behind in your browser.
- Server logs only. Like every web server, ours keeps a short technical log of requests. It is used only to keep the site running and secure, and is deleted within 31 days. Details below.
- One purpose. We use what you send to reply to you about early access to Dean School. Nothing else.
- No list. You are not subscribed to anything. There is no newsletter and no automated sequence.
Who is responsible
The controller for this data is Stream House Media Productions Ltd, 71a Main Street, St Julian's STJ 1015, Malta. Dean School is a Stream House product.
Stream House Media Productions Ltd is registered in Malta, company number C 104952.
For anything on this page — a question, a correction, or a request to delete what we hold — email hello@dean.school. Data protection questions and requests are handled there.
What we collect, and why

We do not ask for, and do not want, any information about students, staff or anyone else. Please do not put personal details about other people into the free-text field.
The server log
When any page is requested, the web server records the requesting IP address, the page asked for, the time, and the browser's self-description. Every web server does this; ours does nothing more with it. We use the log only to keep the site available and secure — our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) — and it is rotated daily and deleted within 31 days. It is not combined with the form, not used to identify visitors, and not shared.
How your message reaches us
When you submit the form, your answers travel over an encrypted connection to our own server inside the EU, which passes them on as a single email to the mailbox we answer from. Nothing is stored on the server itself.
If our server cannot accept the message, the form instead opens a pre-filled email in your own mail program — so you always see exactly what is sent, and nothing is sent invisibly.
Our lawful basis
Consent, under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and EU GDPR. You give it by ticking the box on the form, which is not pre-ticked and which the form will not accept without. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it — one email to the address below.
We do not process any special category data, and we do not make automated decisions or profile you.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or 24 months from your last contact with us, whichever comes first. After that it is deleted, not archived.
Who else sees it
The people at Dean who would answer you, and nobody else. Two categories of processor are involved in getting your message to them:
- Hosting. This site runs on our own server, in our own isolated space on it, inside the EU. The form is delivered from that same server.
- Business email. The mailbox we answer from is hosted with Microsoft. Where Microsoft processes personal data outside the EEA, that processing is covered by an adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses under Microsoft's data protection terms.
There is no third party beyond those. We do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, pass them to a marketing platform, or give them to anyone for their own purposes.
Where it goes
Stream House Media Productions Ltd is established in Malta, inside the EEA, so no representative under Article 27 is required and your data does not leave the EEA by default. This site is hosted on our own server inside the EEA, and your message is delivered to a mailbox operated by Microsoft. If any processor we use stores data elsewhere, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses with a transfer risk assessment, and we name that here rather than leave you to guess.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- restrict or object to what we do with it
- give you a portable copy
- withdraw your consent, which stops any further contact
Email hello@dean.school. We reply within one month, and usually much sooner.
If we get it wrong you can complain to a supervisory authority. Because Stream House Media Productions Ltd is established in Malta, ours is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner. You may also complain to the authority where you live or work — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. You do not have to come to us first, though we would rather you did.
Cookies and similar technologies
There are none. This site stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. That is why you were not shown a consent banner: under the ePrivacy Directive one is only required when something is stored on or read from your device, and nothing here is.
The page loads its own fonts, images and one video from this domain. It makes no request to any other server, so no third party learns that you visited.
Trying Ask Dean
The Ask Dean page lets you talk to Dean's AI assistant about the product. Before the chat opens we ask for your name and work email, for one purpose: so a person can follow up with you about Dean. They travel by the same route as the early-access form — one email to us, nothing stored on the web server — and every promise in this notice applies to them in the same way.
The chat itself runs on our demonstration system, and you are talking to an AI assistant, not a person. Replies are generated with an AI service running in the EU (AWS, Frankfurt region). What you type is processed to produce the reply and may be retained briefly on the demonstration system, which is regularly reset; it is not linked to the name and email you left. Please don't type personal details — yours or anyone else's — into the chat. The assistant's answers describe Dean but are not offers, prices or advice.
The demonstration on this site
The school, students, staff, bookings and figures shown on the homepage are sample records. They are invented for the purpose of showing how Dean behaves, and no real student, host family or member of staff appears anywhere on this site.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so here and update the date at the top. We will not quietly broaden what we do with details you have already given us.
